Tomorrow I will try functional training! Its a work out that focuses on the individual and its needs and builds mussels from the inside and out, minimizing the risk of injuries. I have never tried this before but it is really popular right now so I think I will give it a chance =)You can read more about functional training HEREHave you tried functional training?

Finally the spring is here! And there is no better way to celebrate it then to put on the runing shoes again. It is really nice to come out in the forest and do a some runing or a power walk. Especially with some good music to go with it! Don’t you agree? :)

Waking up to the rays of the sun was absolutely fantastic. Before this weekend I could hardly believe that the spring was approaching. I think many with me is of the same opinion that the spring is, at least in Sweden, the best time of the year. In the park this sunday I took notice of the first sign, winter aconites!
After a long and cold winter it is time to wake up your body and soul. While you can, take the opportunity to breath in the fresh and crystal clear Swedish air, it heals ailments better than any medicin does!!

fitnesstreats:

Fig Walnut Protein Cookies
Ingredients (for 12 small cookies):
- 1/2 cup walnuts (50g)
- 3 dried figs cut in small pieces and soaked in 1/2 cup warm water for a few hours
- 1/3 cup casein protein powder

[I used an unflavored casein powder but a flavored casein powder (chocolate for example) would be a great choice. Casein gives the cookie dough an elastic texture. The cookies would be a lot less chewy and a bit dry if you make the recipe with whey protein in place of casein.]

Directions
Mix all ingredients (including the soaking water from the figs) together in a blender. Form little cookie balls by hand and place them on a non-stick cookie sheet. Bake 15 minutes at 220 degrees Celsius or until cookies look golden brown.

Estimated nutrition facts per cookie: 55 calories, 5 g of protein, 2 g of carbs, 1 g of sugar, 3 g of fat.

Skiing in the sun is fantastic! However, you need to pay attention to the fact that the warmer the heavier the snow, and the more leg strength you need. To counter the heavy snow, you need to keep a soft position and bend your knees. Be careful and enjoy the sun!

What more can you wish than a day in the slope with the sun shining from a clear blue sky and absolutely no wind? Today, despite the snow, the weather conditions were absolutely perfect. I also tried my new boots, they were awesome, perfectly soft. It almost felt like skiing in some old worn Converse sneakers.. I can’t wait to wake up tomorrow to another fantastic sorbet skiday in the italian mountains!
